The role

As Compliance Manager, you will safeguard the firm’s integrity and long-term impact by ensuring full compliance with MAS regulations, global fund governance standards, and our investors’ requirements.

You will work closely with the Chief Compliance Officer, the senior leadership, investment and our fund controller team to maintain strong compliance systems while embedding environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations. This role may be appointed at Manager or Senior Manager level, depending on the successful candidate’s experience, judgement, and ability to operate independently. A Senior Manager appointment would involve broader ownership across the compliance function, greater strategic input, and responsibility for additional cross-functional or firm-wide initiatives alongside the core remit outlined below.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day compliance activities under MAS, UK FCA and other relevant frameworks, including AML/KYC, regulatory filings, and fund documentation oversight.
• Monitor and implement updates to compliance policies across all aspects of our compliance program.
• Support investor and investment due diligence and audits.
• Oversee compliance monitoring, testing, and reporting to senior leadership, the board and investors.
• Perform AML/KYC and other related checks on investee companies and their UBOs, across the firm’s portfolio.
• Deliver training and promote a culture of compliance, ethics, and sustainability across the firm.
• Review marketing, fundraising, and investment documentation to ensure adherence to regulatory and DFI standards.

Impact & Sustainability

• Integrate IFC Performance Standards into compliance policies and procedures
• Collaborate with the ESG team to ensure portfolio companies meet impact measurement, reporting, risk management and governance obligations.
• Act as a champion for responsible investment, transparency, and inclusive governance.
• Support periodic ESG and impact audits and contribute to investor reporting frameworks.

Key competencies

• Minimum 5 years’ compliance or legal experience in VC/PE, asset management, or financial services.
• Strong understanding of MAS regulations, AML/CFT, and international best practices. Familiarity with UK FCA regulations is a plus.
• Familiarity with ESG/impact investing/sustainable finance standards, such as IFC Performance Standards or EU SFDR, or experience working with DFI-backed institutions is a plus.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Team player who thrives in an entrepreneurial, cross-border environment.
