2X Global is a global membership and field-building organisation for investors, capital providers and intermediaries in both public and private markets. We build investor capacity and commitment through knowledge, partnerships and tools, advance and align data and standards, and shift markets through strategic stakeholder engagement to unlock gender-smart capital at scale.
Opportunity
We are seeking a mission-aligned, highly motivated Director of Programmes to join the Senior Leadership Team of 2X Global at a pivotal moment in our growth. This role will help shape 2X Global’s operational DNA as well as global programmatic credibility. This is only the second time in the organisation's history that we have opened a senior leadership role externally – a testament to both the strength of our team and the importance of this appointment.
The Director will play a central role in ensuring that 2X Global delivers consistently and at scale — translating strategic priorities into execution across teams, building capacity, and enhancing our systems for performance and accountability. This role is central to unlocking billions of dollars of gender-smart capital with a focus on long-term strategy and field building. While directly overseeing our flagship initiatives (the 2X Challenge and 2X Certification) and our communications and thought leadership agenda, the role is much broader: it is the anchor role that ensures coherence, delivery, and organisational resilience across all of our work.
We are seeking a leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy, programme delivery, organisational management, and stakeholder engagement, and who brings the vision, credibility, and collaborative spirit necessary to accelerate systemic change in global capital markets.
The skills and experience outlined below describe what we believe would make an ideal candidate – but we also recognise that proficiency and capability can come from many different backgrounds. If you believe your skills and experience could support our mission and vision, even if you don’t meet every requirement, we warmly encourage you to apply.
Why Join Us?
- Impact at scale: Shape global initiatives like the 2X Challenge and 2X Certification that are shifting billions of dollars and influencing standards across the investment ecosystem.
- Systemic transformation: Influence standards, shape global capital flows, and drive systemic change.
- Global reach: Work with partners across continents, from development finance institutions to sovereign funds, family offices, and philanthropic foundations.
- Unique leadership scope: Lead and shape innovative programmes, strategic communications, and coach senior team members.
- Collaborative culture: Join a diverse, passionate team working from over 15 countries, committed to building a culture of equity, belonging, and wellbeing alongside high performance.
- Mission & values: Contribute to an organisation where purpose and practice align, and where your work directly advances a fairer, more inclusive financial system.
Closing date for applications: We'll be reviewing applications on a rolling basis, so early submissions are encouraged.
Interviews (online): November/December
Start date: To be discussed with the final candidate, expected Q1 2026
